Dir Pnt On Gampi Which Then Decoupaged On A Painted Canvas
Renee De Gagne. Évolution Urbaine - Paris (44 x 22).

A wonderful “ink-jet Gampi transfer” piece combining Renee’s original photography with several other processes.

Renee starts with a canvas base to which acrylic medium or gesso is applied to build up texture on the surface and then sanded smooth. Next, a colorful layer is applied with acrylic paints, paint shapes, and lines with ink. Another layer is then created using inkjet printed Japanese Gampi paper coated with inkAID Clear Gloss coating. This coating significantly enhances the image quality and the “resistance/durability” of the print. The print is then finished by spraying a UV varnish, such as Krylon UV Archival Varnish, on top and adhered to the surface using gloss medium. After drying, the entire surface is sealed with an application of more gloss medium.
