Carrier sheets are used to "carry" an inkAID coated custom substrate (paper, fabric, film, etc.) through your printer by attaching the coated substrate to the carrier sheet. Watch the video below to see how to set up and use a carrier sheet for printing on your coated substrate.
Carrier sheets can also be used to build a custom acrylic printable skin for collaging by applying acrylic mediums such as Golden Fluid Acrylic Paints, Golden Acrylic Fluid Medium, Golden Clear Tar Gel and Crackle Paste, Golden Glass Bead Gel directly to the carrying sheets, and after drying, applying inkAID Clear Gloss Type II, inkAID White Matte, or other inkAID coating. Here's a short tutorial about the process: Acrylic Skin Process Tutorial. You can watch a more in-depth video about the process below.
Printmaking Carrier sheets should be no thicker than 0.4 mm (0.016 inch). Most printers can use media from 0.6 to 1.3 mm total thickness. For example, a postcard is 0.41 mm thick and standard printer paper is 0.1 mm thick. Check your printer specifications for information.
